  • The Driving Instructor and proprietor of JFM Driving Tuition is John McCumiskey (DVSA ADI)
  • The Training Vehicle used is a Renault Clio TCE with Dual Controls
  • In the event that the normal vehicle is unavailable, an alternative vehicle will be made available. This vehicle may not be the same model, but WILL have Dual controls.
  • On occasions that your instructor is unavailable due to Holiday or Illness, an alternative instructor can be made available, otherwise lessons will be rearranged at you convenience.
  • All Lessons are priced based on an Hours Tuition, as per the posted price list on the JFM Driving Tuition web page.
  • Cancellation policy. We request that all cancellations be made at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time. Failure to do so will result in the lesson being charged for in full.
  • Regular slots and Multiple cancellations. Constant cancellation of a regular slot, even with 24hrs notice, may result in the slot being given to another student.
  • Cancellation of pre-paid Block bookings. Refunds required for ‘Unused’ reduced rate block bookings, will be calculated by adjusting the value of ‘Used/Taken’ hours to the premium rate (£32/hr). This value will be taken from the original amount paid leaving the balance as the refundable amount.
  • Cancellation by the Instructor, in the unlikely event that the Instructor has to cancel the lesson, the instructor will inform you at least 24 hours in advance, and the lesson will be rearranged at a time convenient to you.
  • Fail to show, there is a 15 min grace period for Clients, should they suffer any unforeseen delays. A Client who does not arrive at the pre-arranged collection point within the 15 minute grace period, and has not contacted the Instructor, will be charged for the Lesson in full. The Instructor will not leave before the 15 minutes have elapsed, and the Instructor will never Fail to show.
  • Driving standards, JFM Driving Tuition teaches to the standards set out by the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), and adheres to the DVSA Approved Driving Instructor code of conduct.
  • Presentation for Driving Test. Clients will only be presented for Test when they are deemed to have met the required standard, in the opinion of the Instructor. JFM Driving Tuition reserves the right to withhold the use of the instruction vehicle if a test has been booked against the Instructors approval.
  • Driving Test Cancellation, JFM Driving Tuition accepts no responsibility for any Tests cancelled at short notice by the DVSA, or DVSA Test centre. Any reimbursement required for cost of the Training Vehicle, or any other out of pocket expenses, can be claimed back from the DVSA using a claim form available at the Test Centre.
  • Cancellation due to COVID-19 policy, We ask that if you are likely to have to cancel due to COVID-19 symptoms, Self Isolation or Track and Trace requirements, that you inform us as soon as possible. Clients will not be charged for cancellations due to COVID-19 policy.
