Bispham Roundabout

 

Introduction.

To be honest the Bispham Roundabout has got a bit of a bad reputation. In fact if I had a pound for every time I was asked if it was on The Test, then I would probably be able to tax my car for the year.

The truth is, if you take your Driving Test at Blackpool Test Centre, there is a good chance you will have to cross it at some point. However it’s not quite the Beast that local folklore would have you believe. In fact, teaching it is one of my favourite lessons, and most of my pupils finish the lesson by remarking on how much easier it was than they were lead to believe.

The guides below, show a selection, but not all of the possible routes across the roundabout. But if you use the same techniques each time you approach ANY tricky roundabout, you’ll find them less intimidating.
